Environmental Mural Project - El Alto, Bolivia
I’m so honored to present this very important work of art for the Environmental Mural Project with the Universidad Pública de El Alto and the @usembassybolivia. This mural was designed and painted collaboratively with the students of the artes plásticas program if the UPEA with a powerful message to the global community that we need to work together to heal our planet and learn to live in harmony with nature.
The mural combines important imagery of Aymara language and culture with elements of Bolivian flaura and fauna. Envisioning a future where humans respect and care for the pachamama, or mother nature, and each citizen does their part to keep our cities, air, water and soil clean and free of pollution. The image of the condor and eagle flying together represent the importance of collaboration between the US and Bolivia in the fight against climate change and environmental destruction.
